A note of thanks to the staff at Broadcasters Foundation, Board Members and, of course, those who so generously offer support.
I’ve worked as a broadcaster all of my life until recently when I was diagnosed with heart failure. The symptoms of this illness bring anxiety and moments of fear. I’m a young man (I like to think!) and found myself with additional anxiousness over how I might navigate expenses and costs that disability often brings.
Through my career I’ve shared so much with so many who have tuned in. But I kept this fear almost exclusively to myself. A year into my illness I reached out to Broadcasters Foundation, shared my situation and a beautiful thing happened. Suddenly I wasn’t alone in this challenge and I felt understood by a wonderful community of my colleagues.
I’m writing to thank you for all you do for me and so many of our colleagues.
